Making Saving And Investing Easy Peasy

Welcome to Lemonade Budget!

Lemonade Budget is a personal finance blog that offers an alternative to the typical career and life path. I write articles about saving, frugal living, investing and entrepreneurship that will help you master your finances and build a life you love.

Much of the blog is focused on FIRE (Financial Independence Retire Early) which is all about using money to give yourself choices and time.

If you desire the freedom to do what you want, with who you want, as much as you want, then this blog’s for you.

A Little About Me

My name’s Jamie, and I’m a self-confessed personal finance nerd. I love to read books on business, finance and investing, and I actually enjoy the monthly review of our budget – see, very geeky stuff.

Ever since I discovered that it was possible to use money to make money, I’ve been hooked on creating passive income.

I bought my first investment property when I was 24 in July of 2012. Since then, I’ve been steadily accumulating assets that produce income, and I became financially independent at 30.

I’m currently pursuing Fat FIRE for my family and me, and my goal is to achieve it by 37.

On my journey, I’ve picked up knowledge and skills that have allowed me to save more, earn more and invest better, which I would like to share with you on this blog.

I started Lemonade Budget because…

  1. I LOVE talking about this stuff
  2. I want to empower people with the knowledge to achieve financial independence if they so desire
  3. To share my journey so far, and as I work towards the next level of financial independence

I’m sticking my middle finger up to the traditional life path of working 40 hours a week for 40 years to one day retire on 40% of what I used to earn.

Instead, I’m choosing to live a life filled with freedom and purpose, and that will allow me to do the things I love every single day. I hope that you’ll join me.
